GETTING A GREAT SOUNDING VOCAL MIX DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HARD

I know first hand how frustrating it can be getting the high quality vocal mix you want. There are so many variables in recording the human voice. A lot of times you can't control these variables. Things like, the space you record in, the microphone, how the singer's voice is feeling that day, time constraints etc.

We are going to start with a topic that isn't glamorous, but it's HIGHLY effective. I call it the premix. Doing a premix on any vocal you record or mix will make it sound more professional.
