3 EQ MISTAKES TO AVOID

EQ is an indispensable tool for producers. I would argue that outside of volume and pan, nothing is more important.

That said, a lot of producers use EQ incorrectly. I know I have in the past. Well maybe incorrect isn't the best word choice, but you may be guilty of using EQ inefficiently.

Ask yourself:

Do you find yourself making changes to EQ more by what you see on screen as opposed to what you hear?

Do you solo and isolate tracks when you are making changes to EQ?

I know I'm guilty of doing each of these while mixing. Check out this video to see 3 mistakes to avoid when using EQ.
